Process for permanent placements

1. Detailed Briefing

A detailed briefing meeting to understand the preferred profile and skill set for the position. 

2. Advertising

Creation of an eye-catching advertising campaign to attract potential candidates.

3. ESE Consulting interviews

Applications reviewed and potential candidates interviewed and assessed against key selection criteria and behavioural competencies. 

4. Candidate shortlist

Following regular progress reports, a candidate short-list report is presented. This process can be fast-tracked if time is of the essence.

5. Interview preparation

Client interviews scheduled with the selected candidates. 

6. Selection panel interviews

Interviews conducted with your representatives and an ESE consultant, if desired. 

7. Referencing

Thorough reference check of preferred candidate conducted.

8. Employment Probity checks

Police, education, medical or other pre-employment checks facilitated as requested. 

9. Unsuccessful candidates

We formally notify every candidate of their status at each stage of the process in a timely and respectful manner. 

Temporary RecruitmenT

When it comes to filling temporary positions, time is of the essence – which is why we make the process fast, simple and stress-free:

  • We have an extensive database of reliable and experienced temporary staff who are available for work now, saving you time on advertising, short-listing, interviewing and reference checking.
  • Our fees cover statutory costs such as insurances, superannuation and payroll tax. We can take on all the extra work that comes with temporary employees, including: payroll, superannuation, workers compensation, payslips, group certificates and OH&S issues.
  • Trial before you commit – if you wish to transfer the temporary staff member to a permanent agreement, ESE offers temporary-to-permanent options.

Process for temporary placements

2. Advertising

We will initially conduct a database search and if we don’t have anyone suitable, will advertise to attract potential candidates.

3. ESE Consulting interviews

Applications reviewed and potential candidates interviewed and assessed against key selection criteria and behavioural competencies. 

4. Candidate shortlist

Following regular progress reports, a candidate short-list report is presented. This process can be fast-tracked if time is of the essence.

5. Interview preparation

Client interviews scheduled with candidates if required. 

6. Selection panel interviews

Interviews conducted with your representatives. Or, if time is of the essence, the casual employee commences without a client interview.

7. Referencing

Thorough reference check of preferred candidate conducted.

8. Employment checks

Police, education, medical or other pre-employment checks facilitated as requested. 

9. OHS Induction

We provide Workpro online inductions that are tailored to meet all legal requirements of the casual position.

10. Unsuccessful candidates

We formally notify every candidate of their status at each stage of the process in a timely and respectful manner. 

11. Employee management

We keep in regular contact to ensure a smooth transition. ESE will contact casual employees once per week and will pass on any relevant information to management. We will help conduct regular on-site performance reviews to highlight any areas of concern or improvement which our consultants can performance manage. The reviews also help to highlight high-performing employees that can be considered for our ‘Temp of the Month’ award. 

12. Payroll and invoicing

ESE can tailor payroll and invoicing processes to suit your specific needs. Specialised reports can be emailed weekly/monthly containing all relevant information regarding employment costs. 

13. Roster management

ESE can manage employee rosters as required.
